About Districts
District conference is an annual event during which 6th-12th grade students from around the Forest Lakes District
(Wisconsin) are challenged to a deeper walk with Christ. This three day, two-night, growth level conference has
two primary goals.
First, Districts is designed to provide opportunities for growth in students' desire to encounter the living Christ through the Word, prayer, and the Body of Christ.
Each year a youth speaker addresses issues students are dealing with in their spiritual walk. A worship leader helps students enter into worship through music, and a concert of prayer is held which is often the highlight of the weekend for many students.
District conference's second goal is to develop positive, Christ-honoring relationships, both within church groups and between groups. A big part of what happens at a conference like this is the interaction that takes place throughout the weekend. Large group fun and worship, individual church group times and free time recreational activities are designed to provide these relationship-building opportunities.
